Have you ever considered that when you find fault with another it is always your eye that has the beam?
"For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
"And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
"Or how wilt thou say to thy brother: Let me pull the mote out of thine eye—and behold, a beam is in thine own eye?" (3 Nephi 14:2-4)
Understanding this principle is pretty powerful and can alter and straighten thinking. When we find fault, it weakens our ability to love. Our paradigms are skewed because we don't see the problem with clarity. After all, "the way we see a problem is the problem" (Stephen R. Covey, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, p. 40). Truly judging others is a disease, one that can suffocate and destroy our souls...
I'm so glad the Savior has removed from me the sticky task of judging. Sometimes handing the job over to the Rightful Owner is the hardest part for me but when I do, oh, how much better is the vision and how glorious is the JOY!
