I love these words by President Harold B. Lee: "If you are a golden nugget, prepare for the refiner's fire."
It reminded me of the following words by Joseph Smith, spoken in Kirtland, Ohio, on December 16, 1833: "This one thing is sure, that they who will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution, and before their robes are made white in the blood of the Lamb, it is to be expected, according to John the Revelator, they will pass through great tribulation."
So if you are undergoing some intense trials, perhaps the question you should be asking yourself is, "What have I done right?" rather than "Where did I go wrong?" Then rejoice in the Lord, for as my dear cousin, Kendi, recently said on her blog: "It is no small thing to sense when growth is occurring within our soul." Growth is definite reason to awe and praise our amazing God!
